thicon e.K. was founded on 01.05.2015 by the owner Sven Thiel. 

The name thicon is a composition of Thiel-Construction. Originally, the company was founded for the "Mercedes Benz Arocs" cab project on a Tamiya scale. To market this cab, a neutral company was needed in order to distribute the required quantities via all model building dealers worldwide. 

But the cab is not the only one. At the beginning, we developed high-quality all-wheel-drive chassis kits to make Tamiya trucks suitable for off-road use.  We have also made a name for ourselves in 3D printing. Shortly thereafter the trade with products for the 1:10 crawler range and merchandise for Tamiya trucks from LESU and various other manufacturers was added.

In 2017 we have exclusively added the brand "ScaleClub". ScaleClub manufactures very high quality and detailed accessory products for Tamiya trucks mainly by hand. 

On 15.01.2018 the material, tools and the domain of the company WEDICO have taken over. We have integrated WEDICO trucks as an independent brand "WEDICO-models" and the construction machines as "WEDICO construction Models" into thicon e.K..
